Psalm 19

⁽¹⁾ The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. ⁽²⁾ Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. ⁽³⁾ There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. ⁽⁴⁾ Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,

⁽⁵⁾ Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices like a strong man to run its race. ⁽⁶⁾ Its rising is from one end of heaven, And its circuit to the other end; And there is nothing hidden from its heat. ⁽⁷⁾ The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; ⁽⁸⁾ The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

⁽⁹⁾ The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. ⁽¹⁰⁾ More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ⁽¹¹⁾ Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward. ⁽¹²⁾ Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.

⁽¹³⁾ Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. ⁽¹⁴⁾ Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Isaiah Chapter 45

⁽¹⁸⁾ For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: 'I am the LORD, and there is no other. ⁽¹⁹⁾ I have not spoken in secret, In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, 'Seek Me in vain'; I, the LORD, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. ⁽²⁰⁾ Assemble yourselves and come; Draw near together, You who have escaped from the nations. They have no knowledge, Who carry the wood of their carved image, And pray to a god that cannot save. ⁽²¹⁾ Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me.

⁽²²⁾ Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. ⁽²³⁾ I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. ⁽²⁴⁾ He shall say, 'Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him. ⁽²⁵⁾ In the LORD all the descendants of Israel Shall be justified, and shall glory.' '

Philippians Chapter 3

⁽⁴⁾ though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: ⁽⁵⁾ circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; ⁽⁶⁾ concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. ⁽⁷⁾ But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

⁽⁸⁾ Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ ⁽⁹⁾ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; ⁽¹⁰⁾ that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, ⁽¹¹⁾ if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
  the holy catholic Church,
  the communion of saints,
  the forgiveness of sins,
  the resurrection of the body,

The General Thanksgiving
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we your unworthy servants give you humble thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all whom you have made. We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for your immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory throughout all ages. Amen.

A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom
Almighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplication to you; and you have promised through your well-beloved Son that when two or three are gathered together in his Name you will be in the midst of them: Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions as may be best for us; granting us in this world knowledge of your truth, and in the age to come life everlasting. Amen.
