Ordinary Time
Thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, 'I dwell in the high and holy place and also with the one who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite.' Isaiah 57:15
Confession of Sin Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

The Lessons
Psalm 104
(5) He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. (6) You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. (7) But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took to flight; (8) they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.
(9) You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth. (10) He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. (11) They give water to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst. (12) The birds of the air nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.
(13) He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the earth is satisfied by the fruit of his work. (14) He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate-- bringing forth food from the earth: (15) wine that gladdens the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread that sustains his heart. (16) The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
(17) There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the pine trees. (18) The high mountains belong to the wild goats; the crags are a refuge for the coneys. (19) The moon marks off the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down. (20) You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.
(21) The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God. (22) The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens. (23) Then man goes out to his work, to his labor until evening. (24) How many are your works, O LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
(25) There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number-- living things both large and small. (26) There the ships go to and fro, and the leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. (27) These all look to you to give them their food at the proper time. (28) When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.
(29) When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. (30) When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth. (31) May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works-- (32) he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke.
(33) I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. (34) May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the LORD. (35) But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. Praise the LORD, O my soul. Praise the LORD.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Zechariah Chapter 14
(16) Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. (17) If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. (18) If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. (19) This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
(20) On that day HOLY TO THE LORD will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the LORD's house will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar. (21) Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the LORD Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them. And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD Almighty.

Philippians Chapter 2
(5) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: (6) Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, (7) but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. (8) And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
(9) Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, (10) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (11) and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Luke Chapter 19
(45) Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling. (46) It is written,' he said to them, ''My house will be a house of prayer'; but you have made it 'a den of robbers.'' (47) Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. (48) Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

The Canticles
The First Song of Isaiah       Kyrie Pantokrator Isaiah 12:2 to 6
Surely, it is God who saves me;
I will trust in him and not be afraid.
For the Lord is my stronghold
and my sure defense,
and he will be my Savior.
Therefore you shall draw water with rejoicing
from the springs of salvation.
And on that day you shall say,
Give thanks to the Lord and call upon his Name;
Make his deeds known among the peoples;
see that they remember that his Name is exalted.
Sing the praises of the Lord,
for he has done great things,
and this is known in all the world.
Cry aloud, inhabitants of Zion, ring out your joy,
for the great one in the midst of you is the Holy One of Israel.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
The Song of Mary       Magnificat Luke 1:46-55
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
The Apostles' Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.  He descended to the dead.  On the third day he rose again.  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,  the communion of saints,  the forgiveness of sins,  the resurrection of the body,  and the life everlasting. Amen.

And grant us your salvation.
Clothe your ministers with righteousness;
Let your people sing with joy.

For only in you can we live in safety.

And guide us in the way of justice and truth.

Nor the hope of the poor be taken away.
Create in us clean hearts, O God;
And sustain us by your Holy Spirit.
